Laundry Companion
Improving the Laundry Experience
September - December 2014
As part of a Human-Centered Product Design course, I worked in a team of four students to go through the traditional steps of the design process to develop a device that filled a white space. My team came up with the Clean Clutch, a portable, stylish and versatile laundry companion.
Problem
Laundry supplies can be cumbersome to carry and easy to forget, making the laundry process a tiresome and frustrating experience for college students and those without in-home laundry machines.

 ObserveI conducted an AEIOU at a laundromat in Evanston. This became one of the methods used to determine our key user groups: college students and senior citizens. |  BrainstormI shared my original ideas and sketches with my team to come up with solutions to the problem. |  MockupUsers gave feedback on mockups team members and I constructed throughout the project to visually or functionally demonstrate features of the product. |  TestI helped design user walkthrough experiences to gain feedback on our design during use. |
